Heating
There aren't too many places in the U.S. where the choice of an efficient heating system matters more than in West Central Ohio and the Miami Valley. This winter alone has brought us multiple days of below-zero temperatures. Unfortunately, many businesses are not able to maintain warmth under such conditions -- and many of those that do come at a high cost for fuel. A properly designed and installed system makes a big difference.

Slagle Mechanical has 60 years of experience in the installation and maintenance of efficient heating systems to handle Ohio's tough winters. Our systems can be powered by oil, gas, or by heat pump. We understand different businesses may benefit by different types of heating systems, and our consultants are happy to discuss the pros and cons of the various heating methods. Our staff of installation and service technicians includes licensed plumbers experienced with all types of heating systems.

Briefly, here's a rundown of the types of heating systems we most often install, upgrade, or service:Forced Hot Air.Most commonly identified by the presence of floor registers (and return registers on the walls).Advantages: can share the same ductwork and certain equipment as Slagle air conditioning systems.Forced Hot Water.Usually identified by baseboards along exterior walls (although some baseboard systems use electricity for power).Advantages: inexpensive to install and can work off the same power plant as the domestic water heater in smaller homes.Air Rotation Systems.Units circulate air throughout your factory or warehouse useing the air rotation principal.additional sytems include, Heat Pumps, Steam, Process Burners, and Geothermal units.

Cooling
Adding a central cooling system, chilled water system, air rotation system, summer ventilation or make up air system is one of the smartest investments you can make.Unlike heating, plumbing or electrical systems, there are no municipal inspectors who check the safety and integrity of air conditioning installations. It's critical that you choose a company you can rely on for quality installation and service.

Since 1966, Slagle Mechanical has installed thousands of central air systems in businesses throughout Western Ohio. With skilled technicians, reasonable prices and round-the-clock service, our company and its employees have a complete commitment to customer satisfaction.

Slagle Mechanical deals with multiple name brands, such as Trane, Carrier, York, Johnson Air Rotation, Bryant, and many others. Unlike most HVAC contractors, we can provide custom design and fabrication capabilities for businesses or for unusual installations. And we guarantee our work-both parts and labor-for one years.Adding air conditioning to your businesss can be a good investment. Make it a great one with a system from Slagle Mechanical.

Plumbing
Customers have called on our expertise for plumbing, gas-line and carbon monoxide maintenance, testing and repair services for 70 years. Our highly experienced and qualified staff specializes in customer service, and we offer personal service at the highest level.Did You Know That Your Plumbing Contractor Must Be Certified To Work On Your Gas Service Line.

Many gas service lines in Ohio are black iron pipe. Over time the freezing and thawing effects of winter and summer can cause breaks or corrosion in older pipes. If the service line between the curb box and your meter setting needs repair or replacement the plumbing contractor must meet the new U.S. Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) regulations to do the work with the gas companies service area. The plumbing contractor must sign and leave a yellow "Service Qualification Card" at the work site. If work is performed by an unqualified plumbing contractor or if the card is missing or not completed properly, the gas company will not be able to restore service. Only D.O.T. qualified plumbing contractors can repair or replace customer service lines, and only the gas company can turn your gas back on.

A Wide Variety of Products, Professionally Installed. We are authorized to sell and install a number of fine plumbing fixtures, water systems, and water heating systems. We are expert in Sump Pump systems, Instant-Heat Water Heaters, and keeping systems that are stressed by extreme heat and arctic cold from failing. Ask about our yearly maintenance plans.

Energy Conservation.Slagle Mechanical is involved in energy conservation design and construction through participation in LEED (Leadership in Energy and Enviromental Design). LEED is a voluntary, consensus-based, building rating system that evaluates environmental impacts over the life of a building. Slagle Mechanical has several LEED Projects to our credit. One major difference in green building is the integrated approach to constuction. Every member of the building team must come together early in the design process to set goals and determine strategies to accomplish the goals.
