Exact Air was founded in 1987 by Michael Spencer-Hughes, "I had worked in the heating ventilation and air conditioning industry for 7 years and felt that there was a good business opportunity for a professionally run independent HVAC company. By providing a great service and very competitive pricing, we quickly expanded our loyal customer base and survived the economic downturn which arrived a few years later. Since then business has gone from strength to strength thanks to our professional, practical approach and our skilled experience team, and in July 2000 we became a Public Limited Company. EXACT AIR are Fully F GAS Compliant, registered with REFCOM, registration No.1005383 a legal requirement to Trade as an installers. All our commissioning engineers are ACRIB registered and hold current C SKILLS J11. CAT 1. Energy Assessments

The EPBD energy performance of building directive, requires that all buildings with installed air-conditioning with an effective duty of 12kw or greater, have an air conditioning energy assessment and report completed by 4th January 2011. This 12kw threshold is for the total air conditioning duty installed in a building, not just for each individual air conditioning unit.

There have been other times scales in place for air conditioning assessments, but many of these have now passed, and if you have 'Technical Function Control' of a building with over 250kw effective duty of air conditioning, an energy assessment report should have been completed by 4th January 2009. If you are not sure whether this has been carried out, contact us without delay to avoid the risk of fines for non compliance!
