Offering precise water control and low running costs for commercial, industrial and process applications throughout an extended working life. Used in conjunction with Daikin chilled water fan coil units they provide an excellent alternative comfort cooling and heat pump solution for applications not suited to VRV and split systems. Utilising Scroll, Inverter Scroll, Stepless capacity control Screw compressor, and operating with R-314a, R407C, R-410a, the choice available is among the most comprehensive in the UK market place, from 5kW to 2MW.

Daikin VRV Systems

Daikin, celebrating 30 years of VRV innovation since 1982. Daikin's VRV are among the most energy efficient, reliable, flexible and sophisticated (VRV/VRF) systems on the market today. Over the years Daikin technology has moved forward at a considerable rate expanding the Daikin VRV range.

Spare Parts & Accessories

In addition to being an official supplier of genuine Daikin parts Space Air design and manufacturer, in-house, to ISO 9001 quality and ISO 14001 environmental standards, a range of over 500 accessory items to complement Daikin equipment, some award winning. Over the years Space Air have determined that their accessory items reduce the overall system cost by enabling single source supply and saving installation time on site.

Space Air have the ability to carry up to 10,000 spare parts for Daikin finished goods, due to the unique shuttle system in their warehouse and has a library of Space Air designed and manufactured ancillary components of over 2000 existing templates and more than 500 stock items, all to fully optimise the efficiency of Daikin systems.

R22 Replacement

If a site in the UK has Daikin equipment still operating with R22, the chances are that we originally supplied it. What's more - if we did supply it - we still hold the details on file! This gives Space Air a distinct advantage when it comes to assisting any building operator with their R22 replacement planning.

Hotel Air Conditioning

The hotel industry is a patchwork of facilities of different sizes and categories ranging from the ultimate in luxury to the complex holiday resort to the small family run hotel. Each of these categories has its particular characteristics that create constraints when planning an air conditioning system. The choice for a small hotel is mainly centred on a reasonably priced system that is easy to use and has low operating costs. A top class hotel will look for a system that ensures a high level of comfort in the rooms with full individual control in each room with both heating and cooling functions available at the same time, high energy efficiency and low operating costs. The larger hotel will also need to consider its various public areas, restaurants, bars and function rooms. The air conditioning system must be able to integrate seamlessly and completely with internal and external structures and be managed by modern building management systems.

When an existing building is being refurbished, further constraints are caused by the limited availability of technical spaces and the probable need to work progressively on various floors such that day to day business is not unduly disrupted.

Space Air, UK Daikin distributors since 1980 have designed and supplied Daikin equipment to many hotels across the UK.

Additional Information

The demand for air conditioning continues to grow. We all demand higher levels of comfort in our work places, hotels, restaurants and other public places. Air conditioning in cars has become a standard feature - no longer restricted to luxury models. Despite our unpredictable climate the UK enjoys Europe's 4th largest market for air conditioning and yet only some 15% of commercial buildings are air conditioned and the residential market is only just beginning to develop.

Why do we need air conditioning?

To offset unwanted energy (heat) in an occupied space (due to lighting, computers, people, heat gains from outside etc).
To offset cold conditions (due to winter climate) i.e. to add heat.
To provide clean, healthy conditions.
To improve productivity by providing comfortable conditions.
To improve living conditions (comfort).
To increase the value of property.

Where do we need air conditioning?

Air conditioning is used in virtually all walks of life, as it is no longer considered a luxury, especially with the lifestyle we have today and the amount of pollution that exists.

Also, with the advancement of electronics and manufacturing processes, manufacturers are capable of producing highly flexible, simple, energy efficient and low cost equipment compared to our present standards of living. It is used in the following applications: Health Clubs, Petrol Stations, Dental Surgeries, Industrial Processes, Super Markets, Doctor's Surgeries and many specialist applications such as computer rooms, CD manufacturing etc.
