C & J Mechanical Services provides a full range of cost-effective commercial and domestic heating and plumbing services; including sales, installation and repair.

From boilers and pipes, to radiators and everything in between, our skilled engineers will ensure you receive a highly efficient product and a reliable service, any time of day or night. All our engineers are Gas Safe registered to deal with installations and repairs on pipes, gas boilers and soon to be commercial boilers.

Building and Maintenance

C & J Mechanical Services can provide a full building maintenance service which includes bespoke preventative maintenance contracts; servicing of commercial boilers, heating and ventilation systems; plumbing and sanitation; and design and installation of air-conditioning systems.

A typical preventative maintenance contract is based upon one visit every six months per year, where our trained engineers record key data, maintain the refrigerant log* and carry out a 30-point health check on each system. More frequent visits can be scheduled if required.

R22 Refrigerant Gas Phase-Out

In accordance with the Montreal Protocol the UK is currently phasing out all substances that are believed to damage the ozone layer. This includes the refrigerant gas R22.

The majority of air-conditioning systems installed prior to 2002 use R22 gas. After this, its use in new air-conditioning equipment was banned (with the exception of heat pump systems, for which the ban deadline was extended to 2004). At present, R22 is still produced and supplied for the servicing and maintenance of existing systems, but a total ban on its manufacture will become law at the end of 2009. Recycled stocks of R22 will diminish and stockpiling of R22 will be illegal.
