The organization was formed as a corporation in February of 1985. Its main company was HVAC Service, Maintenance, refrigeration and gas piping. The authentic founders were Ron Richards, Russ Hunter, and Doug Happe. Both Ron and Russ retired and Russ passed away in 2002. Doug is the remaining founder and present president of the corporation.
In 1995, Emerald Aire, Inc. and Sound Air, Inc. merged. Sound Air was basically a Sheet Metal Fabrication and Installation business and merged perfectly with all the mechanical, service, repair and piping escapades performed by Emerald Aire, Inc. Linda Dupuis-Fricke was the sole owner of Sound Air and became the President of the new business, Emerald Aire, Inc. Linda was president until she left the organization in 1999. Doug became most stock holder and John Ridge bought Russ’s stock. Doug and John are the resulting present stock holders.
On January 1, 2000, the beginning of the hot millennium was additionally the beginning of the hot era at Emerald Aire, Inc. The business structure was dissolved, and the “company” was restructured as a “team” company. A simple philosophical change happened that would set the stage for how Emerald Aire, Inc. would work for years to come.
Today Emerald Aire delivers exceptional HVAC service to our fans in the Commercial, Residential, Service, Planned Maintenance, Refrigeration, Controls, and Sheet Metal Fabrication arenas. We are lucky to have an exceptional backlog of work scheduled by our fans. We look forward to serving you.

Regular planned maintenance will help to prevent surprises to your HVAC/R system. Your furnace or heat pump needs regular planned maintenance just like your automobile. Keeping your filters and equipment clean is essential for peak performance of your HVAC/R system and keeping your energy costs down. Planned Maintenance will also increase equipment longevity.
