With a quality heating and air conditioning system lasting 15-20 years, it is worth the effort to find the right system installed by the right company. Shopping for a new heating and cooling system has become more complicated with new technology, more difficult installation requirements, efficiency ratings and operating cost, energy rebates, factory rebates, tax credits, warranties, etc. These are very real factors that will affect your Total Cost (initial investment + repairs + energy usage).

Be aware that some contractors are using a variety of marketing schemes to get the phones to ring. Common sense tells us offers such as a free unit, matching rebates, matching tax credits, trade-ins, or free gas cards are just sales gimmicks. Their cost is always hidden in the price. We all want to save money when making a major purchase but shell games are not helpful.

Old furnaces and air conditioners tend to break at the worst times. To help our customers with this unexpected expense, we've established a relationship with Wells Fargo Home Projects. When heating companies offer service agreements, homeowners often choose to buy them after finding a heating or cooling problem. Typically, a service technician quotes a repair price, but then offers a deep discount if a service agreement is signed. The homeowner joins a priority customer "Comfort Club" and pays in advance for the service agreement as well as the discounted repair. They receive the prepaid service maintenance within 12 months.
