The year was 1958, Eisenhower was President of the United States and Wayne Bruner of Columbus, Ohio founded a small mechanical fast he called Bruner Corporation. Company was performed in a little cement block building without computers, faxes and mobile phones. Wayne Bruner was a “hands-on, handshake-type contractor within the aged school, company was performed with a handshake rather of the contract.” Up until 1980 Wayne did much of the function himself assisted by his 2 plumbing service employees.

In 1980 Wayne Bruner was willing for retirement and Bruner Corporation was bought by F. Randolph Sleeper, therefore entering an age of change and development.

Sleeper’s immediate objective was to build up the contract function. Some years later Mark Wenger, today President, was hired to develop the Bruner Service Division. Wenger recalls that, “There wasn’t much to oversee at initial, after all we began without technicians.”

Since 1980, under Sleeper & Wenger’s leadership, Bruner has constantly focused on firm efficiency, development and worker morale. All this hard work has paid off as Bruner is consistently known as a leading company of plumbers and pipefitters in Central Ohio and the most known mechanical contractors in the region.
